choosing metal profiles that are used to reinforce plaster walls, i have made works to be placed on walls and self-standing structures seen as spatial drawings by bending them against their utilitarian nature. from the materials remained, during a time when my mental working process has gradually shifted from the studio to the paths i was walking repetitively, home-job-studio-home, i have chosen to mark these day-to-day spaces with ‘temporary exhibitions’.
only incidental passers-by could see them, without making any special announcements. most of them were moved by the sanitation department people. they usually remained in place a day, except for one, which was moved two times within a week.
through this project, i was inquiring the means of identification of a work of art outside an established place, be it a studio, or a gallery, but also passing on my actions to the pedestrians, who could or could not interfere with them.
