as my working process was affected by the lack of a storing space or a studio, which has brought – with the passing of time – the continuous destructive and or abandoning act upon my works, the intention of this exhibition was to act in the opposite manner.
the accumulation of fragments of works, of materials which remained or even of those which were supposed to be part of the exhibition, yet having lost their purpose meanwhile, are all gathered here with a designed role: the potential of
becoming a work of art – arranged in a chaotic way, so to reflect the today’s world.
wdiflmedbtm refers to the incorporation of a role in which one is the spectator of her/his life, and finds her/himself in the impossibility or denial of influencing that which its eyes records, such as a movie spectator. an image offers only one perspective – presumably objective, yet confronted with the real space, it reveals its restrictive role. (the installation took place in two rooms, a simple white one, with elements found on the street mixed with elements made in the studio, spread around the first rooms’ floor, accompanied by the sound of falling dust.
from the first room, one can only see the image of the second room, never its entirety, so the viewer is forced to intervene, to touch the image, to pass through it.)
(the video attempts to provide a grasping understanding of the experience, since it also contains the sounds.)
